29" Dimensions

For the gurus out there, please help.

 

Is there a difference (on average)in the distance from the BB to the skewer in a 29 " and a 26" bike? If there is how does this effect chain length? If the distance is greater, is there such a thing as a 29" specific chain?

For starters you can be guaranteed of an additional 1.5". You just add links if it too short. And any new chain have more then enough links.
