West Coast Yesterday

Went riding in the West Coast park yesterday brillant weather perfect and the fauna plentiful !!! My friend riding with me nearly went over this chap's tail he was lying in the road soaking up the morning sun

last pic winding down at Pearleys with a cold one with my friend. He has been having a problem with his front tyre keeps puncturing and has had it at our LBS three times but just keeps going down  so yesterday we are out on the road and 20km to go he punctures again so we take the tube out chand it with a new one and again give it the bomb treatment. and low and behold it blows again. We take it out and I look at the rim and figure out the Kk rim tape is moving on the rim exposing the little round holes where the spokes are and one of these have a sharp end and keep puncturing the tube.

Now why did the LBS not pick this up I ask you with tears in my big brown eyes  . Now i did not have duct tape so we took a old tube cut the vaulve out and away we went in the meantime whilst changing the tubes we got eaten by damm horse flies  my hand is all swollen  and have huge welts on my legs so must be allergic to them
