We stayed in silver streams campsite - awesome place, by the river and pet-friendly. Bushmans Neck Hotel is 2 km further - also great.

 

The "ride" took us 5 hrs - 3 and half up and rest down. Not racing at all, some compulsory picnic and photo stops. Lots of hike-a-bike on way up and down, but some of the most amazing natural singletrack. Overall quite tough, but unbelievable experience....

very much unmarked! i kinda know the area so know where to go. google earth is a great help and i can send the approximate route if someone would like it. you follow the markings to "twin pools" and veer left about halfway. lesotho locals use it as a path to go buy food in underberg and there are some commercial tourist pony trekkers who use the route as well. they walk the horses down some of the more hectic stuff...
