  1. My first pair were also Olympics which were pretty comfy (until I go a pair of Shimanos) but it did break apart at one point while hiking the bike. The back up service was phenomenal, it's a really good product and with good service I think these guys will do well
  2. and all the commentator does is blither on about time trials! ha!
  3. Those enve wheels just do it for me...
  4. It seems they have changed it. I open we do get a confirmation via email. I would register the day before if possible to ask then...should be fun, didn't love the last one, too many portages.
  5. Oh! I thought you were talking about something else. Totally.
  6. hi, has something else changed for you guys? i can't view the classified content? thanks
  7. kenda nevagals mate. drop the nick if possible as they aren't strong enough for a lot of the riding around KZN (that's a long term suggestion, not necessarily for this weekend). but enjoy it bru!! its an awesome ride and the Gauntlet is brilliant!
  8. or take your car to parents place...with the bike. ride home (45km). Ride to work next morning, then drive home, with bike. Repeat cycle (ha, pun intended). i've started doing a 45km loop in durbs every morning and being pretty fit its taking some time to get used to. not sure you want to jump into 90km a day immediately. and keep those yellow pages stuffed in you riding shorts too. i grew up in Mondeor, its a dangerous place!!!
  9. Jan 2010 45 C klein karoo. first day of a 4 day trip to Cape Town from Anysberg. we came from Maajtiesfontein. We camped along the route so had about 30kg (incl bikes) to deal with. That day we spent about 3 hours hiking our bikes down the back side of what we dubbed B@stard mountain. that was a hot day...found a "dam", it was pretty dry so it was a mud pool - dived in kit and all
  10. nice one man! hope you two had a lekker weekend up there! hopefully i'll see you soon. ant
  11. Cube for me. it has the same rear pivot system as the Spesh full suspension bikes. rides like a dream and they are the some of the hottest looking bikes. being brought in locally makes them worth it...
  12. my mate has had endless hassles with his SRAM. perhaps the guys at your LBS are not doing a proper job fixing it. and that's not XT. one of the most reliable groupsets around. visit another LBS and chat to them...
  13. "...you can tell be the way i use my walk, i'm a woman's man..."
  14. haha! no offence, not at all. but you're right the things are bloody expensive. i'd rather buy bike parts or food for my children (if i had any).
