Hi everyone,

Found a useful link for building your own trailer board, I'm sure it will help a few more people. Gonna make one for my Geof carrier.

Gonna buy the parts this afternoon. Any suggestions on the best shop to buy from?

I'm also not the best DIY guy so will update with photos at some stage. If I can do it, anyone can!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Looks good but I think you should probably use your own car's numberplates. I don't think that guy would be happy if you copy is CY plates.

I know what you mean. It starts with a numberplate and next thing you know you're walking his dogs and taking his children to the park. :D

Just had a new plate made for my rack as I changed my car. Isn't it strange that they have now gone back to steel number plates and that they are not allowed to make perspex ones anymore? Looks like the new plates are a lot wider so you will also need to buy a wider number plate holder. Also crazy that the steel plates have doubled in price over the last year...

Beerboy, as long as the letters are the correct size by law you can have a circular plate if you feel like it... think the minimum 50mm but I stand corrected.

Built my own cycle rack ala Thule style, including lights, number plate, etc. Will take photo's over the weekend and post it.

What were the total costs in the end?
