skollie Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Ive change my wifes LX crank to a XTR (used) now it looks like the derailer (XT) cant stretch enough to push it on the big blade? Any ideas?

Top Fuel Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 The XTR cranks have a spacer on the drive side to fix this. It should have been on the crank already?!?! Maybe the bike it was taken off was set differently. It is a small plastic piece that fits on the spline of the crank. About 2 mm or so thick. You will probably need to get one to make it all work properly. Putting spacers on the BB might also fix the problem but I have never tried it that way. My Epic also needed it to work properly as it had a press-fit BB and you can't really put spacers on that. I have one but I see you a bit far from CT!!!
