Question to Dremel Users

I managed to break the core of my flexible drive on my Dremel. It happened while I was drilling and it got stuck and twisted the cable right off. Can you get these flexible cores seperately?.... or will I have to buy the whole new thing with sheath, holder etc?????

I know For a fact that you can buy the flexable neck thing seperate. Are you asking if one can only replace the broken part? that im not sure of, but It might not be much cheaper than getting a whole new thing and will be less trouble. I saw one at Builders wearehouse the other day.It didnt have the holder with it, so you can at least savour that.

hope that helps

The whole thing consists of s screw on thingie that goes onto the dremel business end a sheath, and the end where the chuck/collet goes on. This is very well made and the chuck side has a small shaft with bearings etc. If I cannot get the cable/spring that goes inside I will have to buy the whole thingy.

Thanx anyways. I will have to wait untill I visit RSA again.

I don't know how things work in Nigeria but wouldn't it be easier/cheaper to order it from Sears?

If you decide to pick it up from the Dremel agent in SA then I suggest you pre order it in case they need to bring it in.
