Never mind for recovery, while doing the Satellite Challenge a guy on a battered hardtail passes me and he has what looks like chocolate milk in his bottle....

 

I've heard that milk doesn't get digested that quickly so riding with is probably not a good idea. It is better for recovery/afterwards. Research the "milk while riding" topic a bit! But I love my Milo after a race. I actually mix 1 Milo, 1 spoon Recoverite (instead of 2 - 4 spoons) and water for recovery.
