HUB users to give advice

Hi Everyone

 

I have decided to take up duathlon having a running background. A friend of mine suggested I do some road riding as well as my normal time trial training and suggested I join the HUB and get some advice from a few people here.

 

So my question is, who on the HUB would you suggest I can get into contact with and who has a good overall knowledge of cycling as a whole, training, equipment, nutrition, injury prevention, racing tactics, etc. I want to be able to talk to someone who can help fast track my learning about all aspects of cycling and time trialing. Anyone know who is the man to speak to?I do not want to hook up with a coach per say. Just someone who can help me.

Cant help you with your request but must say you have quite a name to live up to, Migual Martinez was the world mountain bike cross country champ in the late 90's and won gold at the 2000 olimpics , i raced against him once in Switzerland in 97 and got my ass handed to me on a plate.

Just as well, it would have been properly handed to you if it was Miguel Martinez.

I would guess. He sounds like he knows what he is talking about. I have checked a few of his other threads and he seems to know quite a bit.

It is a rather common Spanish name Migual and Martinez. But let's see. Maybe the sport runs with the name hey.
