HI Guys

I`m a newby to cycling can anyone piont me into the right direction.

The choices are Medrida one twenty 800 VS Scott spark 50,I have listed the specs

PS what is better vertical shock or horizontal.

The merida is more of a trail setup whereas the scott is a XC racer. So in that respect they pretty different and you would need to decide on the type of riding you will be doing.

 

But the thing I always say is go for the one which talks to you. The one which you love to look at and the sight of it just wants to make your ride.

 

Those 2 bikes are neck and neck IMHO

looks and specs are one thing, ride quality is another...if it feels right, take it.
