Remember Cannondale weighs 7,5kg vs 29ers around 8,5kg. 1kg is huge difference on climbs???

It is not about the bike, it is your legs and how to peak for certain races...

Evans and stander will only peak at Epic, not now yet???

I understand the theory behind a 29 inch bike and it sounds plausable and I'm pretty sure there are real benefits, the only thing that I have against these bikes is that they look rediculous, especially the smaller frames. It makes the rider look as if he is suspended between 2 wheels.

To make matters worse and to complicate our choices, KHS has brought out a bike with a 27.5 inch wheel (see the latest Bicycling).

It has squat to do with the peaking, it's all about marketing.

For me, a bike is a bike, it has to be ridden and if you train you can ride anything, if you train hard enough you don't even need gears.

I still find it so amusing that people fashion their lives around the pro's.

Now that's a matter of aestethics. The look has definitely grown on me. I recently took home a medium Talon 29er, and I think she's the nicest looking bike I have.
