I want to buy myself a new bike, (Merida Matts Lite 3000D)26" or (Merida Twenty-Nine Lite 1000D)29"

Which one would be best, considering the Lite 3000D has full XT and fox shock. It basically comes down to the wheel size and thats what I am trying to find out.

Go for a 26"/Go for a 29"

Any suggestions...

What sort of riding do you plan to do?

How tall are you?

I don't think height has anything to do with it. If it did, Andrew Mclean would be riding my daughter's 22" Barbie bike. There was also a schoolgirl who won a category at last year's champs on a 29er.

My daughters have 20" Barbie bikes. What is this new 22"? Is it like 29" is to 26"? Must I upgrade my daughter's bikes?

I am 1.8m tall. I seriously don't think a 29er has to do with how tall you are, its just that taller riders will find it more suiting to their length... But anyone can ride a 29er short or tall. It basically comes down to the specs of the bikes, and should I go for a 29er or 26er?

@6er is much better specked...

Hi, go for the 29er, I've got both. 26-full susser and 29er single speed. On single track tight trails: 26" rules, open fire roads or technical downhills-29er are great, once it gets up to speed...awesome and it roles over obstacles like a full susser. Try and test one!

Cheers
