Hey Hubbers.....

 

 

 

please can you help, my cateye setting must be wrong as it am always etting a different reading from other peoples computers.

 

 

 

 

 

i have a wireless cateye, is there any thing wrong with themor is my setting just wrong?

They checked the manual the last time i got it serviced. they reset it but it is still wrong.

 

 

 

its for a scott reflex fx 25 (mountain bike)

 

 

 

the tyre diameter is 26 1.9 i think

Search on Google for the Cateye website. They have Pdf files with the manual that has all the settings you can download.

 

All measuring devices are not the same and comparison is only possible in a "ballpark" figure!!!!!!!

 

I prefer the method below for my "Cateyes" (generic name nowadays!!!)

 

Start off by measuring the lenght of one revolution of your frontwheel. Make a mark with chalk on the wheel or use the valve stem as a marker. Make a mark on the ground and push the bike in a straight line (without lifting the front wheel!!!!!) and mark again when the valve stem is at the bottom again......viola!!!! You have the correct circumference for your wheel!!!!!
