We all know that pasta is a highly rated food source for cyclists.

Are noodles ( as in the easy diy packet) good cycling food as well?

My gut feeling is to think it should be, cos it is similar to pasta in texture and taste.

Am I right?

The flavouring. Other than that I've heard they're okay to eat. I prefer using the normal ramen stuff, but those pots are so convenient for eating on the go.

i like them with a 500g medium rare fillet and pepper sauce.my children think the noodles are cool and they both sort of grew up on the stuff without too many problems.

Oh, ja, put some fish sauce in the pot to add a cool flavour. :)

i.e. put the MSG (usually in fish sauce) back!

No one is allergic to MSG btw, and claims about it's relationship to headaches or other health issues are weak.

2min noodles for President!!!

They work like a charm if you eat them about an hour before riding.

Basically they're a high GI, high carb, easy to eat, quick to make and yummy source of energy!

Coffee and Oma buttermilk rusks are also super awesome!

I don't think instant noodles can give the same benefits like the ones from pasta. Those DIY noddles have a lot of preservatives which may have a harmful effect on the body. I also have a friend who is fond of eating instant noodles who suffered from having kidney stones. :) Less preservatives, the better.
