Hi Hubbers

 

I have a Specialized 2009 FSR XC PRO Large wit a OEM Fox Triad rear shock. It has a very frustrating non standard 7.5" x 1.75" sizing.

 

Has anyone swapped out this shock with say a Fox RP23 Or Rock Shox and what size did you use...?

 

Any help guys...?

have you asked Fox what they recommend as a suitable substitute?

No I have not asked Fox directly, will send them an e-mail today in light of my reply from Specialized. See reply:

Any 7.5x1.75 shock will work. You will need to make sure that you do stick with a 7.5 eye to eye length and 1.75 stroke or it will not work. To see what shocks are available in that size, I would suggest contacting the shock manufacturers directly. If you cannot located a shock in that size, keep in mind that you can always have your existing shock re-built by Fox. Hope this helps!

I checked out the websites of Fox and Rock Shox and cannot find any shock with the same sizes.........bump. i mailed The agents for Rock Shox in South Africa and received a negative reply, no similar size available......Still waiting for the agents for Fox in SA to reply...........
