Hi,

I currently have a 29er with a 100mm stem. With the larger wheels the switchbacks and technical stuff is a little more difficult than on a 26er. Would a shorter stem, say 90mm, make a difference in the handling with the more responsive steering ? or is it a bit more complicated than this ? Appreciate some input.

I don't personally own a 29er but the trend is a shorter stem most of the factory bikes from Scott com out with short (80mm on some) stems I think a shorter stem may well sharpen up the handling
