Old Helshoogte

I was contemplating tomorrow morning's ride just now and thought about how pleasant it is riding up old Helshoogte between the trees. I also remember getting a cut tyre from some glass and one section being covered with leaves and thin branches. Does anyone know whether the road's been cleaned?

 

And then I was thinking . . .

 

If it hasn't been cleaned, why not see how many guys n girls also like that route and miss riding up there - we can have a group clean up! Organise that we be let in with our cars at the gate and we can even have a little braai + beer once the work's done. Any takers?

I guess that since the TOSA went up there on Thursday chances are pretty good that the road will be good and tidy, at least for now.

The problem with the old pass is that the xhosa boys are going for innitiation there, (you can acctually see were friend meet up with them), that is were all the glass is, at the chop off stump.

 

You can clean, after a snday afternoon it will have glass on it again.

 

not a lot of people ride there, unless it is a group, that is the ideal road to get hurt.
