morning all since all the muggings i have contacted the head of groenkloof he also runs the trails in fountains he had this to say, if you see something suspicious please tell them Yes we are aware of the muggings in the Fountains Valley resort, we managed the trails section in the Fountains. We also have erected warning signs to inform the people not to cycle alone but rather in groups until we have sorted the security issues. We have also send a message out on GroenKloofMTB twitter account about the muggings. We further do foot patrols on a daily basis and wants to get the Metro Police mountain bike squad involved to do policing. We would also appreciate help form the public to report any unwanted people and incidents like this one to us to follow it up. The numbers were they can report incidents is to myself on 082 789 1399 or to our standby number 079 498 3647. We appreciate your concern and we will do our outmost best to keep our reserves and trails safe.
ok i got a reply from the head of groenkloof conservation Yes we know about the dead Kudu and its hard to tell if it was poached or not. The fact is that someone did remove the meat from the carcass and then left it for the jackal to scavenge on(all the evidence removed) Animals dies from time to time on the reserve that we found, but still with meat on the carcass, this one the meat was removed(sharp cuts on the skin). perhaps it wasn't shot, but the most likely explanation is that it was, i mean a kudu is huge its going to let you get close to it unless its dead when you try go near it!
i have emailed the management to ask? also asked why their is a unlocked gate in fountains that anyone can gain access to from outside! hence the recent muggings
dont know if it was shot, but it was dragged to that spot, long blood trail. doubt u could wrestle a kudu! either shot or trapped with a snair i have emailed the manager at groenkloof to see what the story was
morning all my wife road at groenkloof on sunday, they road past a dead kudu, it had been shot and hacked to pieces just skeleton left behind. it had been dragged to a secluded part of groenkloof near bottom picnic spots. so doubt it was the park people that did it. anybody see it or know anything about it???

its a guy in silverton, cost depends on what you want... was around R1400 including decals and design, really good job! its got a super hard clear coat on it!
ja most of the rivers where rideable! lots of fun the one near the 40km was a swim crossing, saw many people have to dive and fetch shoes... what time did everybody do?
