  1. Thanks so much for your help guys. I really appreciate it.
  2. Hi guys, I have a friend who bought a second-hand mountain bike for around R2000, which came fitted with 700 x 40C road tyres. One of her tyres needs to be replaced and she was quoted around R950. She uses it very casually on the road and never on the mountain. Are there any other options she should look at before spending all that money on a tyre for an old bike? I spend that much on my MTB tyres, so I know it's not a crazy amount. It's just a bit unreasonable given the bike and its use. I'd really appreciate any help.
  3. Also from front door backwards.
  4. Three years. My God. Life is cheap.
  5. Spot on. I work right next to Church street where the illegal immigrants defecate and piss directly outside the entrance. I'm so sick of it. It's totally unacceptable.
  6. On a side note, don't be a knob.
  7. Sjoe some really funny chaps on this thread. Can't wait to hear more about the sun and or cream.
  8. The spray stuff is super greasy. Not a fan.
  9. Also keen to hear the details. It will help others to understand how random it was. Very easy to pretend things won't happen to you.
  10. Honestly, I'm not a big fan. But I think it's cleaner if the markup price is still great value. If the re-seller is prepared to go to the trouble of paying and collecting the goods, and then re-advertising them at a good price then they deserve the profit. Especially if they are flexible in terms of delivery, like offering to meet you somewhere in-between, or a few different locations. That can make the deal more accessible to someone who may not have wanted to risk buying from someone far away. Also, re sellers that have credibility (because they do this sort of thing a lot) reduce the risk because they've checked the parts and give them their stamp of approval. I think the spirit of the thing is what counts. You can make a reasonable profit and have integrity and care for others too.
  11. Envious. Looks Rad.
  12. Hey Guys, I have a question about the Pyga OneTen 29 frames. I've heard a lot about these alu frames cracking at the chainstay. Does this still apply to the white and back versions sold here in 2016? Not sure if it's just another color variation of the toxic green frame. Trying to see if it's something Pyga fixed in their design or if they're all pretty much the same. If it's something to be concerned about then I may rather go for a One Twenty 650.
  13. Are you referring to Takealot?
  14. Couldn't agree more. One day only for one day, whereas 365 days a year at most other places...
