Only saffers allowed off, if for some reason anyone else on the flight. They also have to fly in to get the tourist back home My first day back at work since travel restrictions started. We now have a form we fill in for any flight from high/medium risk countries. Then have to contact health services for every one of these flights as well before they land
@Long Wheel Base I worked last night and said cheers to last international flights im going to see in a while. Guess your workload is going to be drastically reduced, i assume 75% plus must be long haul aircraft for services/repairs Going to be an interesting time in our industry now [emoji17]
The old supplements i used was the problem excuse. When you compete at the highest level, its your responsibility to make sure everything you use is wada approved.... That goes for supplements and medicines
Locally on a DRY runway, guys are fine with 7/8 knot tail win . Turkish flight that runway wasn't just wet, looked like it most likely had standing water as well Latest on ZsCAR. Is that they might have had a catastrophic airframe failure, which led to the crash.
Exactly. Pic, Should take responsibility and decide if its safe too fly or not Also just saw now on cnn... It was bad weather. At one point chopper circled 6 times before continuing. And just before the crash it went from 1500ft. Climbed to 1900ft. Then crashed at 1700ft. Trying to fly threw low clouds and visibility is a recipe for disaster
@SwissVan standard sids and stars always keep you safe.. But CAR doesn't follow that when doing calibration Just speculation But i doubt it was pilot error... Well at least hope so. They where very good at doing this, so hope it was something with the aircraft that went wrong. Its really crazy in the tower when we do calibration. Once arcs are done they do inbound outbound headings from vor/ils. Tower guys would sometimes have landing aircraft and CAR. Inbound opposite direction and only do a break off CAR With runway between Its the only way to do it since it takes about 2/3 hrs to do both vor and ils
Sad That was the only aircraft that did calibration of all the nav aids in south africa. Wonder how long its going to take them to get a new aircraft again.
