  1. The older Polars work in water, those not using the "Wind" technology, I use a RS400 for swimming, works a treat. New Polar RSX5 coming out see news next week, has dual technology so it combines the Wind as well as the older type. It has a very small rechargeable GPS as well as working with the small footpad, bike pods and the power meter, so Ironman will, not be a problem, and the watch battery will work for ages like the RS800
  2. I had a 29er hardtail for a year and have just moved back to a 26 Giant Anthem, damn it is good to be back throwing the bike around, doing bunny hops without a developing a hernia! At first the smaller wheels were weird but in no time I was back to FUN FUN FUN.
  3. Only inside carbon, won't work in metal. Plus you have to charge the device, GPS/GSM solutions are power hungry. I have beeplaying with this for a few years and don't have the exact solution yet but am damn close.
  4. Not with this device
  5. it will work till a few are caught and then they will be broken off, plus it has be activated, so if you ride with it on you will get and endless stream of SMS at 75c a message
  6. While you are at it let's support the buidling industry, the bread manufacturers, Telkom, Eskom, cell operators and all the other industries that rip us off daily. Oh forgot the motor industry. We pay a premium for everything in this country and have the worst service levels at the same time. Viva CRC and any others out there who have the balls to provide value and service and make money in the process. It is time to get rid of these bloody agents! Viva
  7. Hi Johan Thx for the feedback. I failed to explain my problem clearly. My crank has the external bearings (MegaExo) the FSA part is BB8000. Would the Shimano Hollowtech II bearing work?
  8. Hi Johan I have the same problem, if the splines are the same width then it should work, what about the width?
  9. I am a cyclist that enjoys riding on and off road. I have been banging on for years that cyclist are their own worst enemies. It is time for the CSA to manage the clubs as well as the local mags to promote responsible cycling. This issue is a result of years of abuse from both side. It is never one thing but an accumulation of issues. We as cyclist need to take the initiative and change before we demand change from others. You earn respect by giving respect! Do it now before we lose all our favourite rides, and MTB'er that same applies! The old folks walking their dogs have as much right to be on the trail as you do, be nice slow down and greet them!
  10. Hey Kevin Well done! It is great to see the support and good wishes, you are my hero! Off to East London and the 70.3!!! Il Bufalo Ph 4:13
