  1. @Intern didn't you mention that you have done the MOTU challenge?
  2. I am pretty keen to ride the 50km race. The 100 just seems a bit too much at the moment. Are looking at doing it Saag?
  3. Thanks guys. Was great meeting you all.
  4. I will be on a white Camber. Red shirt, black kask helmet. My name is Fred.
  5. Yes open to anyone. Don't worry about your fitness. We will have various levels of fitness there so should be a pretty social ride.
  6. I am pretty keen on doing the 1 lap this year. I have so much training to do (and weight to loose) to get there. Accommodation is already booked so just need to get into a proper training routine.
  7. There isn't much on the North Shore riding wise. For short rides you can go to Longbay or to Sanders reserve. For longer rides maybe check out Auckland MTB club's Facebook page, they did a gravel ride out in Warkworth the other day. https://www.facebook.com/akmtb/ If you are happy to do a couple of laps you can also check out Arch Hill https://www.facebook.com/ArchHillMTB/
  8. No not the 9th. I am away in Rotorua that weekend (my first visit, way overdue). Can we maybe do the 2nd or the 16th?
  9. Yes, looks like it. We should arrange a hub ride out at Woodhill sometime. Would be really good to meet some of the NZ based hubbers.
  10. Rode Woodhill on Saturday. Those tracks are so good at the moment.
  11. Hey Wayne, can you pm a price. I might be interested.
  12. Blaze you can also checkout the Auckland Cycling group meetup that's happening at Riverhead this weekend. Its a slow ride to introduce people to Riverhead. https://www.meetup.com/Auckland-Cycling-Group/events/237514600/
  13. I have ridden out at Riverhead a couple of times. Its very different from Woodhill as its mainly tracks that have been created by the guys riding their motorbikes in the forest. Lots of roots and ruts. Like Niterider said, its not suitable to riding in winter as its clay based and drainage is pretty bad. The second section (West coast riders club) is mainly a steep up hill with a number of down hill trails with jumps etc. Nice trails but the right bike for the job is probably a good idea. @ Niterider, How is Maraetai forest in the wet?
  14. Haha. I wonder how many people they got there. I was a big fan back in the day but couldn't care less to join a ride like that now.
  15. I will be back in SA for a couple of weeks over Christmas and New Years. Taking a bike with to get some riding in with some of the old mates.
  16. Thanks guys, I will go get one of those speed sensors.
  17. Hey guys. Some advise needed please; I have been using a Garmin Edge 500 for a couple of years now and its been great, but I recently noticed that when using it at Woodhill Forest or Riverhead the accuracy is absolutely rubbish. What bike gps's are you guys using for forest type riding?
  18. Added myself to the list.
  19. I will be going to SA in December for a visit. I recon it is going to be good to see SA from NZ perspective.

    Cricket......

Such a pity they had their best game against SA and then followed that up with their worst against Aus in the final. I was really hoping they would beat Aus, but they were just never in it.
  21. Rourke Croeser is one person, do you mean Travis Walker?
  22. And that there my friends is your motivational speech for today. Now get on with it!!
  23. Both those guys are class athletes. Thats why they have sponsors. They might be struggling at the moment, but they will be back. Especially Max!
