I have ridden out at Riverhead a couple of times. Its very different from Woodhill as its mainly tracks that have been created by the guys riding their motorbikes in the forest. Lots of roots and ruts. Like Niterider said, its not suitable to riding in winter as its clay based and drainage is pretty bad. The second section (West coast riders club) is mainly a steep up hill with a number of down hill trails with jumps etc. Nice trails but the right bike for the job is probably a good idea. @ Niterider, How is Maraetai forest in the wet?

Haha. I wonder how many people they got there. I was a big fan back in the day but couldn't care less to join a ride like that now.

I will be back in SA for a couple of weeks over Christmas and New Years. Taking a bike with to get some riding in with some of the old mates.

Hey guys. Some advise needed please; I have been using a Garmin Edge 500 for a couple of years now and its been great, but I recently noticed that when using it at Woodhill Forest or Riverhead the accuracy is absolutely rubbish. What bike gps's are you guys using for forest type riding?

Such a pity they had their best game against SA and then followed that up with their worst against Aus in the final. I was really hoping they would beat Aus, but they were just never in it.
