    Cricket......

Hughes suffered extremely rare, freak injury to neck Phillip Hughes was the victim of a freakish accident, the kind that is rarely seen in any sphere of life and has only once before been recorded as the result of being struck by a cricket ball. When Hughes was hit in the neck by a ball during the Sheffield Shield match between New South Wales and South Australia at the SCG on Tuesday, one of the main arteries to his brain was compressed, and such trauma can often be immediately fatal. Hughes initially stood for a second or two before collapsing forwards onto the ground, as players rushed to his assistance and called for medical help. "Phillip took the blow at the side of the neck and as a result of that blow his vertebral artery, one of the main arteries leading to the brain, was compressed by the ball," Peter Brukner, the Cricket Australia doctor, said on Thursday. "That caused the artery to split and for bleeding to go up into the brain. He had a massive bleed into his brain. This is frequently fatal at the time. That is so sad. such a talented young man.
  8. Pretty good movie. Starts a little slow but has some real tense scenes in it towards the end. The ending is terrible, leaves you hanging. I cant wait for the next one.
  9. Congrats, Proud dad moment!
  10. I really hope he rides. He just make it exciting. If they pair him with one of the big international guys he could definitely have a chance at a win.
  11. I would love to Eric get the chance to race with Sauser. However his form this year was no where near what it was last year. Hopefully he can come back big time next year.
  12. Never liked Platt much, but just lately he has seriously grown on me. Always has a great attitude. And he just comes back year after year fighting for the title.
  13. Fork Crank Pedals Those might be the easiest, but pretty expensive to change.
  14. Probably picked up 200g from the wedding cake. He is so skinny that one would probably see if he picks up that small an amount.
  15. Rabon rode really well this year, I recon having a backup team and not just having the RECM guys like they had this year would definitely help them.
  16. I dont think one can go by Kulhavy's XC form. He is an incredible marathon rider. As he showed at the marathon champs. Sauser, yes he is getting older, but he is a machine.
  17. It will take alot for them not to win.
  18. Man that is nice!

  21. oops sorry, amount of point may be different based on number of dependents.
  22. Its 90 000 points for Gold, not 70 000. Thing that got me this year is that they stopped the carry over off points. But I only need another 6025 points to go get to gold again and go to Diamond. I have a fitness test booked for next week, so that should do it.
