  1. Did i miss a topic or did nobody bother to mention Sara's win yesterday and her pic in the Argus today. Well done....not too shabby!
  2. Thanks BS. How about choice of shorts. Is it a good idea to change shorts at transitions? How are those Jaggad shorts with the removable padding? Someone told me yesterday that its better to have dry kit after the swim. Does this make a difference?
  3. Thanks for the info guys! This really helps a whole lot!!!
  4. What kind of fuel belt do you recommend? Are you saying i don't need my own water bottles? Or i get them refilled?
  5. Hi Any experienced Ironman athletes on the Hub?? What do you carry with you on the bike and the run? Is it necessary to have a gel belt on the run and a food basket on the bike? What's the bare minimum to carry? And what food equipment (names please) do you use? Your contribution is greatly appreciated. Thanks NK

  7. I'm sure you're actually an excellent rider. You just need to clear your vision a bit!

where's the option for sh*tty accesory??
  11. You ever do a loose gravel descent at speed?? Tell you what pal - you follow the dust! And when you bite it you'll be sorry you didn't shave.
  12. Hi I prefer not using a peak for 1 simple reason. It limits my field of vision. Id rather have no strain on my neck. As for adjusting the peak higher up the helmet....well that's just ugly isn't it. Other complicated reasons.... i've snagged it on a branch or 2 in the past...that field of vision thing again...maybe i just ride k@k... ja that's probably it.

    Bar Ends

Hi On the bike bar ends are good for out-the-saddle climbs, long open sections and geting more aero, also for tired hands on super-long rides. Off the bike the're good for airing gloves and hanging helmets. Tip: If you see the crash coming or feel you might hook onto something, immediately grab the bar ends (assuming you're not already in this position) covering the leading edge with your hand and push out your elbows. A scrape on the hand or arm is likely to be easier to fix than should you crash. This type of evasive action as saved me on occasion. This could be especially useful when passing saplings in a forested area. Bar ends are in my opinion worth their weight. Mine of course weigh less than 100g. Scott shorties. Take them if you can find them!
  14. Eddy Merckz openly admitted to using drugs......but the other guys probably used them too. I'm in the market for a fishing rod. Any brands i should consider??
  15. I only started road biking in October. When i started mtbiking i wore baggies. I was waaayyy too conscious of tights! I switced to tights very soon after trying my 1st race. Ever get your shorts hooked on your saddle?? Maybe get chaffed on your inner thigh? Got blown around in the wind?? Baggies are ok for social biking. Titusti, you gotta be wearing some real tight baggies to use for racing dude! Besides its difficult to get decent padding. Or has that changed in recent years? Maybe a good be would be to get Capestorm padded inners with your favourite shorts?
