  1. Had the same experience with Paypal. (Actually I am glad the sale did not go through. The price for one would have been close to 5 G's. Now that we are buying 2, the costs comes down to around R3700 / watch. What a bargain!!)
  2. OK, worked it out - it comes to about R3850 per watch (only if we take 2 or more) Not too shabby... See the link: http://www.bikeinn.com/bike/polar-rs800cx-pro-training-edition-premium/11094/p
  3. The shipping will take 2-3working days. So we could have it by the end of the week!!!! AND Polar has a 2 year international guarantee. I bought my RS800SD like this and had no problems fixing it here in SA. Polars back up service is the very best I have experienced in this country - similar to Leatherman.
  4. Ok, how’s this for a special: The Polar RS800CX Pro (this includes all the bike pods, the S3 running pod and the GPS - about 6 G's local price) At Bike in they are approx R3920 BUT if we take two (2) the price comes down to about R2940 / set! With DHL it is R6400 for the two (R3200/watch!) Is there someone that wants in on this? I definitely am going to buy myself one, but if I find one more person that wants in, we can save close to a grand each! (Remember that we still need to pay duties this side, so the final price will be around R7200 for the two watches, approx. R3600 per watch. WHO IS IN WITH ME? (I live in Heidelberg Gauteng, it will be a plus if you also live in Gauteng)
  5. You got that right! I am upgrading from the RS800sd (running) to the cx because I do quite a bit of "multy" sports. Can’t wait to get it… (struggling a bit with Paypal though)
  6. Exactly what I am buying.... Did you have to pay any import duties / tax on it?
  7. Last 2 times that I received (electronic) goods from overseas, I did not pay any extra amount. I am talking under correction, but thinks that there are no duties on electronics.
  8. With Paypal you pay 3.9% of the total amount. A reasonable price for "peace of mind" You can dispute a transaction if you dont receive your goods or if it is defective. This keeps the "seller" very responsible. I have never had any problems when buying using Paypal.
  9. Would you guys reckon that I can safely use my cc with them?
  10. They also want me to do the same. (use credit card) I prefer paypal because it is much safer. They claim that they are Paypal enabled, but fail to complete the transaction. With the massive online fraud nowadays, I am very careful to use my credit card online.

  12. Sis man! I have an iPod, now I dont like it any more.... Heheh
  13. Sadly we are dealing with the human factor here. Many things can look great "in theory" but when the human factor is added it fails. - Communism is a good example. So in this case, (this country) the human factor has to be dealt with! Propper punishment for each crime. If one man take the "democratic right" to live of another.... then his "democratic right" to live should be taken from him as well! This will sommer sort out the over crouded prisons as well...
  14. Do you cross train? What is the Pro's and Con's of cross training? What type of cross training do you do? Why? Do you enjoy cross training or is it just part of the program? Bungykhb2010-01-14 01:04:49
  15. Also see http://www.ironmansouthafrica.com/ There are lots of usefull info on there.
  16. If you are a novice @ swimming, this site helped me a great deal! www.swimsmooth.com but do try and go to some one that does "stroke correction" It can save you a lot of energy and time in the water...Bungykhb2010-01-13 02:55:58
  17. If you are in Jo'berg, go to the Triangle Sports shop in Bedfordview. (they also have a shop in PE) I was a novice last year and they advised and supplied me with equipment. I did both the "Half" and "Full" IM last year. (r u going to the "Half" this weekend? It gives you a good idea of what to expect @ the "Full" X2!!! heheh..) If you r a "Vaalie" like me, the swim is the scarry part. I practised in the school swimming pool. My first openwater swim was @ the "Half" (and to top it all - the beach was closed the day before the race because af a SHARK in the water - true story! Ask those that were there...) I would not advise you to do the same. Try and do a few openwater swims before you get there. I tried to do three sessions of each routine each week. One of the 3 sessions of each routine, must be a long one. Also make sure that you do at least one brick session a week. Make sure that you rest enouch. You dont have time to get sick. Make sure you go into the race with a plan! "If you aim at nothing, you are sure to hit it!" Swim Plan! Transition Plan! Cycle Plan! Run Plan! Eating Plan! (You DONT want to hit the wall!) and most of all, remember "80% of this race is in your head!" Try and get a few IM DVD's. It is inspirational. Oh, and remember when you get to the race: There is nothing more that you can do, except to enjoy and saviour the whole experience. You will always remeber that first one!Bungykhb2010-01-13 02:50:01
