    Munga Grit

Did the Munga routes multiple times, last month did the 10hr & doing the 15hr next weekend. Mostly gravel & generally safe. Lots of quiet district roads. Re water: a cameback & 2 bottles will be more than enough. There’s enough houses to stop & ask for water if any issues.

  3. @JulienR there’s the SXSE gravel route 120kms about 80% flat gravel here’s the gpx https://ridewithgps.com/routes/33200924 Try www.ridewithgps.com lots of routes
  4. Watch: versatility, pairs with PM & multi screens of which you can determine how fast or slow it shows you data screens. Been using Fenix 3 through J2C, Sani, Epic, Munga rides & now 5. No issues at all. Get a handle bar mount.
  5. Did it Saturday. Pretty flat & fast route. A few twists & turns that might get you easily lost if alone. Gpx file below https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/36585588
  6. Hi there, am using Garmin devices & am comparing between the 810 & the wahoo element roam. Interested in your reasons for falling out of love with Garmin devices. Care to share? Cheers
  7. @Coolspin Yes northern farm is open, you have to pre book a 3hr slot on their website because they limit amount of people in the venue.
  8. Try the courier guy their online booking is solid & quick www.xoc.co.za
  9. Hi guys, looking for a bb30 bottom bracket to fit a Shimano ultegra crankset on a sworks fact frame, I’m in GP & happy to go wherever necessary to find. Thanks
  10. Thanks, already got 2 11-42 spares XT cassettes & a third xx1 10-50 on the dual sus so trying to work out most effective yet efficient for mob training.
  11. @MTB-More I hope you don’t mind me bolting my question onto yours, somewhat similar matter. New IDT came with 11-28 sunrace road cassette. I’d prefer to use my HT MTB, currently running a SRAM GX 11-50. Question: do I 1) run the current 12sp chain on the 11spd road cassette 2) install an old but decent condition 11-42 XT 11 spd MTB cassette 3)get a 12spd MTB cassette Hoping to avoid buying new cassette. Advice would be much appreciated. Thank you
  12. @Pieter-za,would love to join. Have done multiple JHB-DBN amashova tours & Joberg2c’s. Enjoy these sort of tours now.
  13. Hi all, somewhat related question. Been using Garmin’s HRM tri, I recently got a wahoo Tickr X. Using the tickr with my Garmin Fenix watch as I do the Garmin HRM on my runs, rides & swims. Got Garmin speed & cadence sensors. The speed/cadence & calorie readings are vastly different on both devices. Garmin readings typically lower. Which brand to use as standard?
  14. Yo, never mind the slick I made a mistake there, was initially looking at the Kickr snap before deciding on the core.
  15. Hello good people, Somewhat related question, just bought a WAHOO Kickr Core, came with a Shimano 11-28 cassette. Got a 11-28 road bike but prefer riding my 29" 11-50 MTB. Can I fit my MTB on the Shimano cassette with slicks or do I have to insert a MTB specific cassette? Also, will I have any issues with the IDT height since I hear the core is not adjustable as the 4.0? Thanks very much
