  1. Congrats Abdul. Good luck in your new positon. May track go from strength to strength in SA. First point of business - how do we go about getting a 15km scratch race included on the progam of events for SA Champs in 2009. This is our best chance at a medal at an international level, yet we don't race it at our national champs. Cheers Gary
  2. Veloce, I have the same bike, just bigger! Great ride eh? What group you got on, Record I hope? What does yours weigh, mine comes in at 7.1kg in a 58cm.
  3. Jaco, please PM me if you have details. Thanks Gary
  4. He is not at SA track champs. Anyone know where he is and what he is up to? I think GYPSY would know.
  5. We have no problems running Record Chains on Shimano cassettes. The only reason we use shimano cassettes is because our wheels came standard with them. The combination works so no reason to change it. In fact my training wheel has a campy cassette on it and my racing wheel a shimano cassette. I use the same Record chain and I don't even have to adjust gears. I think you should just use Record chain and Dura Ace cassette. Good luck.
  6. Will do Abdul. I know where Dave's place is. there area couple of us up here who would like to organiose a winter series, and we could do with your help if you are national Track Comm. Let me know when yu want to meet. Cheers gary

  10. Have "they" decided that you will win a race in Tri? If not, ride Giro. Jou g@t man. No races are decided before hand, That's my story and I am sticking to it!
  11. Should I ride Giro or Tri-Nations???
  12. There is other racing, but put on by your favourite track officials. Maybe you can get an answer from them then. What is the matter with your hand? I am riding with James Louter. Martin is riding with Gadi. Dean Edwards and Jamie Ball are partners. There will some other teams as well for sure, with some of the vets racing. Hopefully some of the guys from Cape Town come up. It is being billed as a selection race (for what?) so hopefully they return the favour and travel to JHB seeing as we went down there. here is your chance to make the national team again.
  13. No, Martin van Wyk is putting up the money, and he is leveraging off the event that is being put on. WILL YOU BE DOWN TO RACE THE MADI?
  14. On Saturday 23 February R10 000-00 will be up for grabs in the madison to be held at HNP. Cash will be paid to the top 8 teams. The madison is likely to be a 40km points madison and shuold make for some really spectator friendly viewing. The prize money has been guaranteed so there won't be any nasty suprises. Hope fully we will see a really good turn out of riders, given the cash on offer.
  15. Nice to have met you Michelle. Can't see pics though as I am blocked from face book. Was back at orthopaedic surgeon this morning, and the crack has not displaced after the race, so all is healing well. I was really uncomfrtable during the race as I had to rest my left hand on the bars and as a result my lower right back too immense strain. Thanks Boeing, yeah frame is wrecked, should be getting 928 #2 this week. can't wait for emporers palace on Sunday. Cheers
  16. This guy I know has an articulated radial fracture of his left wrist. Any of you had experience with treating a fracture of this nature and how soon you could get back on the bike?
