  1. Welcome, are you new here?
  2. Them marketing folk need to keep / justify their jobs....
  3. That is correct. Ive also never ever had the urge to hold one of them either because it might break. They're not very hardy at all. Seen too many break or die. They're fine for the boetfighters that pose with them in mirrors at the gym after doing biceps and triceps... the aunties doing spinning and the ones who must tell you everyday how many calories they have left to eat at the Kaui or whatever it is.
  4. Apple watch is great to monitor masturbation exertion, not much else. enjoy
  5. Tell them this isnt oriental plaza, voetsek with your bargaining tactics learnt there or by watching endless repeats of Pawn Stars on discovery channel.
  6. hahaha, no other way for me!
  7. This is definitely becoming a singlespeed event this year with the weather... Know some fellas doing it on singlespeeds, wish I could be there too! On my singlespeed ofcourse
  8. Naaa, only to save the few grams of weight for that extra bit of speed
  9. Some new boots for my scooter...
  10. Im back to square 1 again... This time both my Crest rims are cracked... 28 hole rims The brand new rear that was replaced under warranty just over a month ago and now also the front is cracked. 3 Towers this weekend on cracked rims... I hope they hold because I dont have a safer option on a wheelset right now
  11. I was vocal about my disapproval on the FB post. As has been mentioned above that CWC will need to buy from the agents which add cost and zero value. Gone are the days of getting good prices because now all has to be bought through the agents. I guess we'll soon see how quick CL destroys this great business model you had Oom Chris. Theres a reason I bought my stuff from you in Cape Town when the CL Mega Store is only 5 minutes away from home in Fourways.
  12. Van Gaalens
  13. Happy to report that both my Crest and Flow which cracked have been replaced. I must say that with all the crap service thats so prevalent these days, this experience blew that all out of the water. Between CWCycles and Two Wheel Trading, they've both been awesome in getting it all sorted. My OCD is at rest now
  14. That issue is still unresolved so not gonna discuss that now... Theres a reason I asked for the decals separately so that I can do them myself
  15. My new one looks identical except the serial number begins with NT-1709....... where the old one that broke was SE1700....... Will see how the new one holds up.
  16. Bought my stuff online so its all in my purchase history when I login to CWC. Your rim should have a serial number so theres no harm in asking either CWC or the agents for Stans which is Two Wheels Trading.
  17. I need to give credit where its due! My Crest is currently being warrantied and Ive just got news that my Flow will also be warrantied. Nice to know that there is solid backup behind these wheels.
  18. After washing my singlespeed last night and inspecting my rear Flow rim.... Guess whats starting. The bike in question... 2 of the cracks... there are 4 2600km done on them, bought in March 2017
  19. You can look at my original post too, if they the same then thats what you have
  20. Picked a few names from a hat and threw them in....
  21. This worries me... Maybe the gents from Two Wheels Trading can explain because they honour the warranties.
  22. Got another 2 mates with identical Crests to mine which have also cracked in the same spots. One guy is getting his warrantied and the other fella cant be arsed with the ballache involved. My Crest is being warrantied, all involved were really cool about it and keen to fix the problem Ive been told there was a bad batch and the problem shouldnt happen again with the new rim.
  23. The front wheel looks fine still, its the rear thats got all the cracks mainly on the spokes from the drive side... As I mentioned ive got mk3 Flows on my rigid singlespeed and touch wood, they have been bomb proof over the past few thousand km that Ive done on them. Im curious on how the Arches hold up as some gents have mentioned those have cracked too.
