It was so surreal, was like a deer caught in the headlights

This reminds me of a trip to the seaside when I was living in the UK, I was with my girlfriend of the time and we went rambling along the coastline, and came across what we thought was a "secluded" beach, with it being a beautiful day, the vibe and fresh air and we were feeling slightly amorous, so while in the middle of "business" we had failed to hear or notice that a Military Helicopter had flown over and was dropping guys into the sea, the next minute a boat comes flying up onto the beach about 20 metres away, and all these soldiers coming storming the beach, parachutists started landing around us, we had happened to stop at the beach where they were doing training and beach landings. I've never had a "mood" change so fast in all my life

Friends of ours that moved down from Durban last year So she told me I just can't believe she has been rollerblading to work.

So the wife has settled very well into Cape Town life, so much so as she even rollerblades 20mins to work somedays. So now she is going away this weekend for her first mountain biking weekend, which meant she had to reassemble her bike all by herself. This was all going on memory from what she had learnt at a weekend beginners basic maintanence & skills course last year , and of course my expert instructions.We talking putting the rear deraileur on, the chain, wheels, seat, handlebars . I got a call tonight to say she is all done putting it together and went for her first ride around the block without any issues. She sounded like a kid at christmas on the phone, she makes me so proud and I can't wait to get down to Cape Town and go riding with her

This seems to be happening a lot more, since the hijacking expose on Carte Blanche , I've noticed an increase in bike thefts from houses, coincidence who knows , just hope they get the buggers and your bikes back.
