I have recently put new tires on my Mountain bike, and with the new tires I also purchased Dr Sludge tubes to help my eternal combat against punctures. Now with the 94.7 coming up I am going to swap my mtb tires for a set of continental slicks and obviously other tubes. Now comes the question... If I take the MTB tires off, I have to deflate them. Will this cause the sludge to spring into action and "plug the hole"? or can I safely deflate them and change tires without any hickups?

maybe they could have tied them to the ground and we could ride over them and let the chain blades go to work. That is awesome news, and an awesome idea!!! lol

It was so much fun in the mud yesterday!!! I loved it!!!

Went for a ride on the braamfontein spruit last week thursday, and there were loads of cops walking up and down the river. Looks like they were busy with a clean up of sorts. Went riding there yesterday, and there was a security company doing patrols as well! Looks like they are trying to make it safer there for us!!!

If you log onto the Subaru owners club website (www.subaruclub.co.za) and you join the forums, you will see the guys there have very little respect for Subaru on Bryanston. Apparently the worst Scoob dealer in the country. I drive an Impreza, and my car only goes to Scoob in Midrand. Guys are friendly and they never try and schnaai you. I would strongly suggest taking your car to them instead... Best of luck man... it is an awesome brand!!!

Unfortunately there will always be "cowboys" that "own" everything... Sad fact of life... I love riding the spruit, and would love to see it become a safer place for us to ride and enjoy the beauty of it while mingling with people walking their dogs or riding their horses. " I also asked the rider that went down yesterday not to sue anybody for falling in the one crossing, so we should be safe there!!

Indeed.... I am the friend, and running repair costs on my bike so far has nearly amounted to me buying a brand new bike!! Thing that I am scared of now is that if I buy a more expensive bike, I will pay more for repairing everything as I am not too sure on how to properly maintain my bike! Any advice will be much appreciated!

Thanks for the advice guys... I moved the sensor up on the fork and angled it towards the spokes and the magnet. I also moved the computer to the handlebars from the stem, and it picks up very quickly now and it seems to be working the way it should!

Hi everyone! I bought myself a Polar CS200 HRM and installed it on my Mountain bike. I am having a few issues where the sensor doesnt always find the pickup. I was riding yesterday and on 2 occasions it didnt pick up that I was moving again after stopping and one time it didnt pick up my speed at all. I have a feeling the sensor was designed for a road bike. Is there anything I can do to tweak it a bit so it will work on my MTB? Thanks!

There was a lady down yesterday at the river Rotary festival, at the offramp just before crossing the river on the way to the finish line. It looked like she was wearing toyota/cyclelab kit... Anybody about this and how she is doing? When I went past there were already 3 ppl attending...
