  1. Beautiful fiery sunrise at Polkadraai this morning
  2. I have a Garmin Forerunner 235 (from 2018) with a dead battery. Couriered it in to Garmin for assessment end of Feb, and took 13 working days from delivery to assess. The verdict: "no replacement/service parts", and offered me a Forerunner 55 at discount. 30% discount (based on pricing on Garmin's site) or 17% discount compared to other sites.

  5. Without a doubt, get a Garmin Varia as rear light. It is life-changing. I never go on a ride without mine since I got it. And Garmin is running lekker special on it at the moment... https://www.garmin.com/en-ZA/p/698001/pn/010-02375-00

  10. Ooh that looks nice! Thanks
  11. Thanks @capediver, but was referring to the Varia radar, not front light.
  12. Thanks for all the feedback everybody! It is very insightful. Another question - is there a way to attach a tether to the Varia?
  13. Good point. It is not a requirement, but like that drivers behind me will be able to see that I am slowing down.
  14. Hi peeps I'm looking into getting a radar rear light for my bike, especially as I commute to the office. I have to choose between the Garmin Varia RTL515 and the Magene L508. They are both the same price currently. Anybody have experience with the Magene? I quite like its "brake light" feature. What are your thoughts? Thanks
