  1. That's me in the orange kit who nearly went down - thanks to the blue bike rider for popping me back upright
  2. Would be interesting to see a figure of the collective years' of experience per group based on number of tours, and how that ties back to the groups with most crashes. Not saying number of tours is the be-all and end-all ito rider experience but it would be interesting to see ... even more so if a minimum number of tours + time were used as seeding criteria in the groups where speeds are generally higher. Personally I feel safer surrounded by ballies with high single and double digits on their backs
  3. Found this info on SARS site
  4. Not exactly the same (or as exciting as CF) but have been doing a bodyweight exercise programme called simplefit - combo of pull-ups, pushups and squats for twenty minutes, three times a week. For the time spent, the results have been good ito strength gains, and little bit of muscle too The website is simplefit.org if you want to check it out.

  9. Jack Black Pale Ale and Mitchell's 90 Shilling are two of my favs, else Castle draught. Must say, the hangover from craft is less severe than the one I get from Castle. Night before riding though, try and not have too many. Rather save them for after
  10. Had a similar issue when I changed saddles a while back. What helped: 1) slight downward of the front of the saddle 2) moved saddle forward, more 'over' the cranks 3) aim to sit with your two little bum bones on the wings of the seat (you'll feel those bones if you sit on something hard and rock around a bit) 4) get out of the saddle everyone now and then to help circulation Hope you get it fixed, it's no fun taking a wee when out riding and feeling like you're touching someone else's willy
  11. Have a look under the BB
  12. Yeah I wasn't aware of that sweaty backpack syndrome until my colleagues pointed it out lol Used to ride in kit and shower at work but then one winter of riding with normal clothes made me lazy to pack, undress and shower at work. Panniers work well thought in my experience and who knows, you might like the feel so much you'll start touring with them
  13. I find it ok to shower at home and then ride in work clothes in winter - about 10km. Cant really do it in summer though, even now it's a bit of a push so I have panniers + bag because a backpack tends to absorb all that lovely commuting sweat in summer
  14. Not even in my wildest dreams could I have thought of this as a potential danger while riding, thanks for alerting us! Hope you heal up quickly
