  1. Can tips be posted here wrt to using old parts and stuff?
  2. We do gatsby's rather or a hake and chips parcel.
  3. You don't need a driver's licence up North all you need is a bribe for Metro cop when he pulls you over. Whats the going rate, a Streetwise Two price?
  4. Go to cop shop where you reported loss. Get a case number and do the affidavit there. Take that with cash to Hillstar and apply for your new one. When I have to renew my PDP I first have to go Hillstar and get a form for medical. Once I bring that back to them application is processed, eyes tested , fingerprints are electrinically done, you pay a deposit at ABSA for you police clearance and then wait 2-3 weeks. I must do this every two years for work. A normal licence expires every 5 years. When I renew licence I have to apply for normal drivers as well and they take old licence.
  5. Hillstar has the quickest turnaround time. I have to renew my PDP every two years. They have the eye testing machines at Hillstar and your pics are taken by their machines.
  6. Masala Chai still leading the votes with 60% in SA.
  7. Love the smell of the chocolate when its running in. I normally warm a standard coffee cup with boiling water for about two minutes. First my frother sorts my milk out and it goes in the cup. Then only I switch my Pixie on and two lungos of Ciocattino finishes it off.
  8. Im jealous. Awesome steed.
  9. It looks like a standard Speedplay pedal just the plastic housing has been removed.
  10. Why don't Lightweight make Gipfelsturm's in a clincher? It would be the perfect all purpose wheel for us mortals. The tubby already sits at 1025g a pair.
  11. I rrrrr size 43 in white pretty please?
  12. Just popped in to the store to say howsit. Love the bare look of the place, simple and good selection of machines. Workshop is nice and open. Guys are friendly and I will definitely visit again. Wish them all the luck.
  13. No training since Argus. Will start in August again after Ramadaan ( month of fasting). Looking forward building a good base. Possibly looking at DC in November for first time. Work keeps me in shape though. Only picked up about 3 kilo's.
  14. I have been looking at the Kysirium SLS. Just under 1400g a pair with an alumunium brake track. The coating on the SLR's I have read are prone to scratches and require special pads as well. Mavic have released new carbon rims the 40C and 60C which they say combat the problem with carbon clinchers heat build up. Im sure the Fulcrum's are reliable if made by Campag.
  15. 'Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future'.
  16. Google reviews on both to get an inbiased answer. Look at reviews from Bikeradar, Roadbikereview and Roadbike Action. Forums like Weighteenies also have credible reviews by the normal guy on the street. I have only had Mavic Aksiums and Elites and no complaints. Important is the back up service for spokes.
