    Upgrading

Upgrade the fork, CWC look at the Reba they have on special, a good fork makes the ride a lot better and then look at the wheels and might have to look at rear mech and shifter as i'm not sure if you have 8sp or 9sp

    Camelbacks

Milton or Koeksoda, and keep it in the freezer
  3. Thats pretty high up in Tokai on a single speed, I can feel my legs burning just looking at the pic

  5. Ti-ny - I normally make most cyclist around me look Tiny, so go the nickname from riding buddies.
  6. As far as I know you get the option to get no gift but rather the gift exhanged for reduced rate. so you choose. So pay normal rate and get a gift, or pay less and get no gift. Dont even say that it's not a gift because you are paying for it, as the reduced rate is actually a cash gift?
  7. Hi Not all cyclist are bad, yesterday in my car on my way home one of the Acsys team riders were next to me. This young man set a perfect example, stopping at every red trafic light. (Bill Bezuidenhout rd). He turned off and cycled to Willie E's shop, Well done to him and his sponsor
  8. MTB - Keep your weight back and control the back wheel braking- no skidding. Pedal around corners as far as possible, it maintains traction so you are less likely to slip One finger braking and most important, if you fall try to avoid the sudden stop at the end of the fall - it normally hurts
  9. Boer why do you think they call me Tiny, 100kg;s and I always stop
  10. Start rant: I have been cycling for about 8 years. On Monday next to Tygervalley 3 cyclist came past me while I was at a red traffic light in my car. Without even slowing down they just cycled through the red light, as I passed them I asked sorry told them that the light was red and that they were idiots. All of a sudden I was the one in the wrong because I pointed it out to them. Granted it was on an uphill and by the size of the 2 girls butts and the Guys belly maybe a mission to get going again if they stop on the hill, but still not an excuse for what they did. Always one or two giving cyclist a bad name. Rant over: The best part is that during the 8 days of the Epic not a single cyclist went through a red light
  11. Ek bly by die see, weeee, wish I could get that excited to go to Gauteng for work
  12. I have an 18.5 inch Unicoi Full Titanium frame available. For the roadies it's a MTB frame, softtail meaning it's got a rear suspension, with 1" travel. Litespeed comes with Lifetime warranty. Frames like this sells for R14000 new, I want R7000 for this but willing to negotiate. Reason I'm selling is that the frame is 1 size too small for me and I have bought a new frame in the right size for the Epic. PM me.
  13. The Gravel bit is in a very good condition for a gravel road in the Cape. I think the last bit of the route is worse (climb up to Bloemendal) Ti-ny2007-02-27 08:13:36
  14. Checked the other forums and this one, could not find any.
  15. I heard that another cyclist was run over and killed in Cape Town on Saturday. Anybody have details?
  16. I believe if you do not challenge your bike shop on bad work nothing will improve. My LBS has been great but every now and again have a wobble. But i complain, and they fix it and never had the same problem twice
