I'm running conti mountain king/race king combo 2.2 on my S Works Stumpie. I found that on several occasions the front tyre has washed or let go in corners. I ran Maxxis monorails before and never had this happen! I'm running same pressures as always approx 2.3 bar. I do notice that the tread pattern on the edge of the conti's is large but sparsely spaced knobs, could this lead to washing in corners?

I dont know of any other source that one could trust when they test a bike or give an opinion. Giant Anthem 2 is rated best best XC bike 2 years running, with the Trance X3 best entry level trial bike. They run extensive tests on hundreds of MTB every day of their lives, pretty awesome. Do I crack a commission deal with them? I ride specialized but u have to bow down to the opinions of these 5 very experienced riders?

Thanx guys, looks like u've all got similar mods. I have been offered a ZTR wheelset for R6k, but I wieght 96kg and they have a weight limit, so maybe u're recomm. of XT wheelset is maybe not a light but more durable. I'll look into the rest. Faanks.
