Been looking at putting new brakes on my trail bike. Am currently looking between the Elixir R or Shimano SLX brakes in my price bracket. Am looking for any comparisons people might have from personal experience. Cheers

Boxxer is 2010. The 888 is 2006.

Have the following option of 2 forks. Marzo 888 RC2x or Boxxer Race. Looking to see which might be better in the long run.

Hi all Is their another way other than welding on a new cable stop, for the gear cable, for the front derailleur?

Am keen to get down a mountain. Though am new to Dh and have not had time to ride in the last 4 months.

Have options on getting either an Xtension Xgorge or Morewood Izimu. More or less the same prices built (2nd hand). Looking at going more at social downhill than full racing and wondering which frame might suit me better in the long run? Anyone with opinions? Cheers

Hi There are currently some Manitou Swingers at good prices at CRC. Looking at replacing the old Rock Shox Pro Deluxe on my DH bike. Anyone used these before, and recommendations.

Only thing that landing did was make sure I am more prepared next time (on maybe a smaller lump). Thanks for helping the new guy.

Hi What are the negatives on changing the rear shock on a frame, to a slightly longer or shorter shock. I currently am looking at replacing my rear shock (9' x 2.75), but am finding it difficult to get the 9' eye to eye bodies. Frame is a GT DHi (2001)

Am looking at getting a stiffer spring for my rear shock. But not sure exactly what rate to go to. How does one determine which spring is the right one for ones weight as I do not want to buy multiple springs.

I am looking at getting into some recreational DH. Looking for info on where the decent spots are to get a feel for it (in Cape Town), before possibly putting out in large outlay for upgrades etc.

Have an old DH frame I am looking to convert slightly for some all mountain riding. Have the option currentl of putting a XT crankset on front or the SLX M665 with bash guard. And am still undecided which route to go. Mainly looking for a broader gear range, and the ability to do minor XC with friends. Would also determine which derailleur I would need since I need an E-type for this frame.

Hi I am looking at replacing the spring on my rear shock, Rock Shox Deluxe Pro. Since its a bit old, I was wondering if anyone knows if the springs for the Vivid are compatible? Cheers
