  1. glad to know your furnaces etc work - when I need one I will come to you however me thinks that when I need a wheel built I may go to the person who has actually gained experience in real life - +800 wheels built with minimal failure ain't bad the man obviously knows a thing or two - even if he doesn't like the "fancy technology"!!!!!!!
  2. Just a question - edman, oxwagon, johan - how many wheels have each of you actually built, and what was the spoke failure rate?
  3. A voice of reason But hey why let the facts get in the way of a post again..... if you really don't like the way things are being run by an organisation (any one not just PPA) remember you always have a choice don't participate.........
  4. The only certainty around all these issues is that what little communication there is is not clear one statement in bicycling magazine, a different statement in the press release from CSA, confusion with none of the provincial / PPA bodies having clarity and action diferently and then (unusually for CSA) ............ ........deafening silence!!!!!! And they wonder why people query the reason for fees being paid to CSA??? come on guys how about some clarification or are there different factions within CSA confusing issues??
  5. any one have an idea why what was said in the press release from the CSA president differs from the statement (supposedly from CSA) that was printed in Bicycling magazine????? Surely something like this should at least be explained consistently within the same month?? or is it a case of different spokesmen with different understandings?? campyonly2007-07-10 05:10:27
  6. and how is this going to be actually done and more importantly what is it going to COST the cyclist?? Surely this kind of stuff is thought through BEFORE you make statements like this?
  7. lots of noise from a few people perhaps ??? how many of you will be at the PPA meeting tonight to put your concerns to the PPA EXCO and be part of the solution rather than part of the problem??? See PPA website "FEEDBACK MEETING WITH THE EXCO: A feedback meeting with the PPA ExCo will take place 18h30 for 19h00, MTN Sciencentre Auditorium at the Canal Walk Shopping Centre on Wednesday 11 April 2007. At this meeting, the ExCo will give some feedback on their portfolio's and on where we're at with CSA and unification, and voting will take place on proposed constitutional amendments. All PPA members are invited to attend. Please note this is a feedback meeting, and not the annual general meeting. Read more."
