  1. Hi all, I've recently moved to Tanzania, at the base of Kili. Being close(-ish) to the Kenyan border, I have my eye on Migration Gravel 2026, but the Zebra Route - non-competitive. Is there anyone also booked, keen to book, keen to ride, even if the competitive route, be willing to let me tag along in terms of car rental, transport to and from the airport? It will make life a bit easier if I don't have to organize all of this on my own! Also I'll appreciate the company! Thank you
  2. Hi all, Anyone travelled to Kenya for this race previously with any advice RE renting a car, logistics? Anyone looking to head to this race next year? Registration is now live! I'm based in Tanzania, and looking to see if I cannot possibly join in with someone, instead of renting a car and doing everything for 1 person. Also looking to do the Zebra Route - non-competitive. Anyone done this on an MTB before? I know it's a gravel ride, and MTB is accepted. Thanks,
  3. Hello all, Does anyone in CT or Wineland's area still have the box + polystyrene inners that they are willing to give me, or let me buy off them?! Or have an alternate better suggestion for packing it securely to transport...🥺 Thanks in advance.
  4. Has anyone ever done a ride with Red Dirt Uganda? I am heading off to Tanzania in 3 weeks time! Eeek! Apparently some amazing MTBing there. But saw this company, and keen to check them out as Uganda and Rwanda are on my list of places to explore - by bike even better! But would love to hear from someone who has done it first hand, and if it catered for the fit but not racing snake kind! Anyone done any MTBing in Tanzania - also please let me know! Thanks
  5. Hi all I'm in Kleinmond this weekend. Would like to ride Sunday am. Any suggestions as to trails? I'm looking for a nice 2 - 3 hour ride. Is it OK on my own? I did a ride a while back with Winelands Club in Kleinmond. Anyone keen to join me?
  6. Hi all, I'm trying to get in touch with Team EcoBound. I have sent 5 x emails to team@ecobound.co.za dating back from November 2023 and January 2024 and have yet to receive a reply. Anyone have any other contact information? Only the e-mail is listed on their website. Thanks! Jenette
  7. Hi all, I have landed up in a bit of a pickle and am not sure I'll be able to register ahead of 17h00 today. Looks like my arrival will be more 18h00 to 19h00. I'm coming from CT and really not sure of what the road will be like. Is there anyone who is willing/able to pick up my registration and I can meet up with you early evening? I know it's a long shot, but I'd be grateful. Very grateful! I'm doing the HALF. Regards, Jenette
  8. Thank you! 5km too many after completing 180km
  9. Anyone done the HALF? Is there a transport option available to get back to cars parked at the start, or for cars to get taken to the finish? Or riders need to make their own plan?
  10. Someone posted about this on TrailsEnd IG. TrailsEnd said it should OK, depending on how well you choose your lines. Trails on A-Z section are quite rocky in general though. Could be a bit of a hike-a-bike vibes?
  11. Thank you this is helpful, yes, I was in Elgin yesterday and Sir Lowrys Pass was a bit hectic!
  12. I'm happy to do either.
  13. I don't mind : MTB or Road.
  14. Hi all, Anyone attempted this yet? Anyone keen to? https://www.trailsend.bike/four-passes-challenge/ I am not amped to do it on my own, but looking for non-racing snakes buddies who are willing to trek out early, take it easy, and make it back for sunset at Trails End! Let me know! Regards, J
  15. Thanks for this!
