Hi All I am in the carbon fiber manufacturing and repair business for over 20 years now and can only confirm that metal will die of fatigue far before carbon will show any signs of degradation. We repair about 50 carbon frames a year and never had a case were the material got tired. The majority of damages are due to an accident or rough handling in transport. generally one can say that if one looks after the bike and protects the exposed areas from small stone impact, the frame will last forever. We use a fairly cheap clear tape on a roll, that can be replaced easily. Cheers Arno

Hi I am sure we can fix it for you. As long as the wheel is only cracked it will be like new. If chunks are missing, there is a chance that the wheel will get imballance. www.customworks.co.za

We are doing successsfull carbon frame and wheel repairs for many years. The most extreme was a bike that came in 4 lose piecec 4 years ago. We fixed it , the bike gained about 120gr and the guy is still doing triathlons with it. Carbon rim repairs are structurally no problem, but deep damages can cause imbalance of the wheel.
