The post you quoted is a couple of months old.
oops saw that afterwards, got so into it
I wonder when the full range pricing will be out?
its on their website, been out for months
Looks like decent spec for the price. Nothing wrong with the shock. Fork is quite flexy, but if you are not hammering it every ride, it is more than adequate. I'd look at better tyres or a dropper to upgrade first. Scott Spark 960 is a bit more, but has NX Eagle a dropper and the better tyres as well as more suspension travel if you are looking at options
The 960 will compare with the AL 2 or AL3 from Silverback, also with dropper etc, NX or SX
Is the Gravel Ride 60km or 40km?
"60km Gravel Ride for those who prefer the wide, open road!
40km Gravel Ride - 8h00
5km & 10km Trail Run - 8h15
50km MTB - 8h30
25km MTB - 8h45"
Silverback Sido 1 retail at R35k with fox suspesion and GX Eagle drivetrain, nothing can beat that currently!
Naas is jy terug??
Any gravel bikes in 2017?

I think that this is where 1x will get caught out.
I know that I need everything my granny has got to get up the pass but also that I went through Meiringspoort cruising at 45kph in my big ring.(tailwind assisted).
I will be running a 50-34 compact road crank and a 11-42 cassette. I hope it will be enough up the hill. I am practicing my walking solong
you only get invited to the 75km so all the riders there will not cause a queue
Problem is that its too easy to get into the 75km, just send a mail and you are in. I did the 60km last year and we caught a lot of the 75km backmarkers up the 2nd climb up to Helshoogte. A few years ago the 75km was a small bunch of Elite / Pro rders only.
I'm going to wear my cycle works shirt today to show my support. BTW, Nils came top ten in the enduro this weekend, first guy on a HARDTAIL. What a legend.
Love you Nils
What hardtail?
Sounds like very cool event, pity its clashing with the round 4 of the Western Province XCO series in Somerset West.
Hi Wessel,
Will there be an official Subvet cat? And if so will it be 30-34 as well as 35-39 or all together as 30-39?
At the world Marathon Champs in Cascades 2014 it was 30-34 and 35-39. (Subvet A and Subvet B)
Finally some movement here on the forum
With two weeks to go, the Western Cape woke up
Guys please see this as YOUR series, we've waited a couple years to get the sponsors sold... let's tell all your friends & clubs about it so we can make it big over the next year!
The Cape really needs this!
Also send me suggestions / comments of what you want and want to see!
Check out the new Silverback fatbikes on their website!!
Also very keen to see lower spec'd version/s
All 2015 models on the new website! Sesta Pro comes with full XT, ZTR Crest and normal Sid fork.
I took the wrong turn last year, just to let the "organiser" take the win. So def coming for revenge!! Cant wait.
No Rain for Saturday morning, only later that evening and Sunday huge storm!
Montagu also started at 07:30 this past Saturday. Its really not that early.
Any news on the track?
Can we enter on the day?
When do we receive our seeding for the race?
Franschoek pass finish will a showdown as this is Sausers preferred hill for power intervals.
Its a pity there's only 1 qualifying event in the Western Cape!
