Couldn't get the X-King Race Sports to stay inflated more than a few hours - now using UST instead. Did you do anything different with the RSs?

Are we getting acceptable levels of service and professionalism from race organisers? How do we hold them accountable if they do not provide acceptable service, after already having paid race entry fees? Two examples: 1) Honda Mountain Trophy: After spending an hour driving to the well advertised registration, I am told the race numbers are not available but can be collected on Saturday before the race. Guess why I went to register early? The cost of entering the race has just skyrocketed if I include my time and kms to not get a race number. 2) MTN MTB Nationals: The log with the series standings has not yet been published once, race 5 is next weekend. (I am not going to win, but would like to see how I am doing compared to last year). This is part of what the series offers and I believe we are not getting the value as advertised. Organisers, we are doing this for fun, but this does not mean we should not receive value, service and professionalism. We do, after all, pay the full price for the product you sell and should receive exactly what was advertised.

Thought I saw that bike in Clarens - mine looks exactly the same except different saddle. Might see you on the trail in Sabie.

I ride the 09 model, same spec. Only do XCM. Had several XC bikes before, this one is the best so far. Avid Elixir's are great, X9 RDR not so good (upgraded to X0), DT Swiss 420s heavy but durable. Found the standard Specialized tyres to have thin sidewalls, changed to Conti USTs.

I have ordered from them twice. On both occasions, the process as described on their website with regard e-mail notification and shipment was found wanting. I had to follow up myself on both occasions as their stated timeframes was exceeded, giving the impression that the order was not being processed. Although they try to be helpful, I am not comfortable with the service I received and will not use them again.

Hi Hubbers I rode Attakwas last weekend and again realised that the hills on which I train are totally inadequate. Where are the best spots for hill training in and around Jozi? Looking for distance, gradient and technical difficulty. Or should I just accept there are no mountains in Jhb.

I recently changed from Bell Volt to Specialised S-Works 2D. I find the 2D to be more comfortable and cooler.
