I have the Saris H3 and use Rouvy. Very happy with it - well built and no issues at all. JHB agents are at the back of Kyalami race race track and are very helpfull- I bought mine direct through them. I’ve done about 2500 kms with no issues. Can’t comment or compare to other trainers as I have not tried them. I think SC Rainmaker does some good comparative reviews.

Done. More challenging than I expected. No time to recover and the Christmas pudding does not help matters!

Jonesy, I bought a Cycleops Phantom 5 on the hub in October last year - it is the bomb! I have had no trouble with it and I and use it regularly. I was not aware that spares etc are no longer available which is a bit concerning. So far nothing has gone wrong - it is bullet proof. I am connected on the older version of Rouvy through my laptop - this has great pre-defined programs to follow and these work very well, but the reality ride part does not work well on mine. Taking into account the fact that parts will not be avaiable, it is only a good buy at a bargain price and assuming currently in good and working condition. For reference, I paid R10k for mine.

Seeing as we are on valuations - I have a Sprada Automatic coffee machine that I don't use anymore - about 12 years old. Still works perfectly. Any idea as to what I should sell it for?
