  1. had it twice.... first time about 9years ago, got back from the Transkei with a few weird looking bite marks. Suspected that much coz we found a few of these red little pests in our tent....anyway, thought I will try tough it out and then maybe become immune! Yah, didn't work, almost died...or at least it felt like it. Had to go see the doc eventually. A few years later got bitten again, went to the doctor with the first signs of a symptom!
  2. think he might want opinions on buying this...Still wrong thread!
  3. First person tp admit this...I have been using slime tubes and never have problems. I have been reading all the discussions on pros & cons of tubeless and the only thing that comes up is the possibility to ride lower pressures... So if you do not ride a lot in rocky areas it is not really a great benefit...I am now looking to purchase a UST tyre for my rear wheel just cos the non-UST have really soft sidewalls and I keep cutting them. Still going to put my slime tube inside it though.
  4. What it means is that once you "capture" the output from your dstv decoder/pvr it is sent as a video/audio signal to your TV. Thus if you feed it to something like a 3rd party HDD or DVD recorder (Lg, Samsung) or any other kind of recorder (VHS if you want) you can always record what is being broad-casted.
  5. Bought a 2008 Anthem 1 frame (over the Hub) in June. Seemed like best value for money, although I did not really like Giant. I love it every freaking ride i do with it! the geometry is great, I find it really comfortable. Climbing, downhill, technical single track... although the new low riser bars are pretty wide, might still get grabbed by a tree that jumps out at me at some point. I am finaly considering going for the full and maybe even ultra marathons, not just the 30-40-50km races. Then again, I did upgrade from a hardtail, so any dual suspension would have made me feel this way.

  7. The "Pro's" in this case would have been the top guys in the 25km race catching the people on the 50km ride. They should have started MORE than 15min after the 50km.....might have helped a bit. Always a problem when the different distances are just more laps....
  8. Where was this single track part ? I must have missed it.
  9. Just imagine the "noise" at the star when every second rider has one of these on his/her bike! Not to speak of some people taste in music... One of the benefits of mtb-biking is getting away from all noise and buzzing of the city, would want to spoil the nice outdoorsy feeling with music pumping from my handle bars. For training rides in and around town it will be nice...So you don't get hit by a bus you did not hear coz of your ear-phones.
  10. Ja nee kyk, ek het al goed geval en dan kom die hare sommer saam met die vel af! Geen rede om te skeer voor die tyd nie!
