  1. The problem is the local supplier, DDP Tech, is a very small company and he does not carry stock of everything. He only carries what is in high demand, but if you ask him he will gladly order it for you. PM me for his details. @ Moegoe: Guys like you are the reason why guys like me are stressing ourselves silly wondering if we will be out of a job shortly. Think about that!!!!!
  2. Places to look for are where the top tube joins the seat tube, the whole bb area, where the top and down tubes join the headset and the rear dropouts. You should actually check the whole frame for hairline cracks that can later become problem areas. There is no problem in buying a second hand frame as long as you have insurance because 2nd owner means no warrenty. As for wich frames are the strongest, that can turn into a very lengthy discussion because everybody has his/her personal opinion.
  3. Megadeath: Symphony of destruction. New World Disorder 9 Soundtrack!
  4. AM Classic is a good choice. Stiffness is not a problem(If built by a experienced wheelbuilder. Try Ruan Deyzel from Spokeworks. He builds wheels acording to your weight and riding style. He has 10 years professional wheelbuilding experience.) Other options are A2Z hubs or Momsen Design.
  5. Steel is real!!!!! Ti second choice for sure( If you can afford it!) Nothing beats the ride quality of a well built steel frame. I have ridden them all and in the end I went back to my trusty steel rig!
  6. You can also take a look at Enduro bearings. They supply replacement bearings for shimano as well as truvativ bb's (including the non-drive shim for truvativ) You do need the special tool to remove and fit the bearings and the shim. I have the contact details for the guy who does this in the gauteng area. He is a wholesaler so you can do it through your local shop.
  7. Personally I think it is a matter of manners. (You know the ones your mom tought you, or tried at least.) If I encounter a faster rider on the trail I will give way. On the other hand when you are the faster rider a THANK YOU would not kill you. Another thing that works on my nerves are the guys from a well known club in JHB who stop in the middle of the trail to build chats. Then we have ride around them. Come on guys the trails are there for us all to enjoy. Just because you ride a R50 000+ bike does not mean you own the place.
