MTB'ing i don't know - don't think there are easily accessible options unless you have contacts, maybe a local can comment on here..

Gravel - options for days in all directions, where are you staying?

We'll be at blinkwater just outside citrusdal. But happy to drive somewhere, park and ride from there to make things easier.

Hi, I will be staying at Piekenierskloof resort this weekend. Did you perhaps locate some decent trails while you were there? Thanks

Did you manage to find any decent routes? Please send Strava activity if available.

As it says above? Can I stay at Beaverlac and ride to Citrusdal? Strava routing indicates it's possible, but I've been thwarted before.

I thought I'd check before coming unstuck

Did you manage to ride this? Please send Strava activity if so.

  4. Recently purchased a road bike and would like to make the switch to tubeless. Any recommendations for a set of affordable tyres, or is there not much between different brands at similar price points? I currently have 28c tyres installed - recommended to continue with this width?

Also, any lekker small/inconspicuous saddle bags available? Everything I find on the web is either too expensive or way too big and bulky.

    Thanks!

  5. Hi guys

I'm looking to build myself a road bike and from what I've read, the importing from china route is a good option.

Has anyone recently purchased a road disc frameset that can offer some advice?

I'm quite new, so not sure regarding different tyre clearance sizes and BB variants.

Also with regards to sizing, what is the best way to go about it? I'm 6.0ft

    Thanks!

  6. The more I read the more I'm leaning towards this, will the Brain 2.0 maintenance come bite me in the ass later on? vs something like a Giant Anthem or maybe the Trek?

I'm yet to have mine serviced, haven't had it too long. I think between the three you can't really make a wrong choice, I guess it comes down to personal preference. From what I've seen, it seems like the Specialized retain their value well for resale. And I think they look the best.
