  1. agreed. strava says 4%. i dont like to admit i am slow.....
  2. slowness try the Glandon 1100m climb over 24kms
  3. i have campy 12-29 cassette. used it on the hills in France last year with a compact crank and i was still grinding
  4. Near miss. Glad you ok. Bike can be replaced
  5. thats just wrong man!
  6. Im not sure whether the question has been asked before but what do one do with your old worn cassettes. I already have 2 sets in my parts drawers and soon gona be adding another.
  7. leaned something today
  8. unlike campy 11 speed, shimano 11 speed cassettes are wider to accomdate the extra gear. campy on the otherhand have narrower spacings between the cogs. therefore 9 speed, 10 speed and 11 speed all work on the same campy freebody. shimano 11 speed will not work on the 10 speed freebody as its too narrow. shimano have 11 speed specific hubs. i therefore doubt that the 11 speed shimano will work with the campy shifters.
  9. compact is 50/34 and standard is 53/39 as for cost im not too sure. i bought a 2nd hand compact off a hubber at under R1000
  10. Campy crank = campy BB i changed to FSA compact to assist me with the col's in france last year (with 12-29 cassette). i tried to keep the compact on my return but found that i spin out on the flats. im back with standard. i had to change bb when i changed to the FSA crank and visa versa.
  11. have you noticed how the Zonda's just seem to keep on rolling. have mine about 3 years and they have never been trued since purchased at CWC
  12. Midas sells a trailer board. Buy the thule clips that fits into thule rack. A few nuts and bolts and some drilling required to join the 2 together. Cost me under R800. Works well. I shortend the light cable as it was way too long
