  1. My best time was 2016. Missed sub 3 with 1min and 51 sec. started in 1D. We had 2 bunch hold ups in that race. Going for that Sub 3 is hard work and training and your head need to be in the game. That last 2km to the end the bunch sprinted and my legs just said hello and goodbye and I had to roll it in to the end line.
  2. hahahaha!!! ek weet. Daar is dit n ander game vir my
  3. I know!! damn!! i don't want to look to suspicious ek se Pure Savage passing the front group on chappies and camera bike doing beach front style cycling sipping on my first bottle half way!!!
  4. Jip, and damn close to it!! really really close to death!! the DEATH REAPER was close on my ass but i think he was busy dying to climbing Simola Hill. All Rity Yal!!! i'm off to go do shopping for a Electrical crank base setup for my road bike to get my 2:40 on Cape Town Cycle Tour. Sorry if i take your KOM and bump you on your Ractetec results
  5. The story comes down. This guy that was passing us look like a normal every day mtb rider so no over weight or limbs missing. He went pass the E or F group on Ou wae se pad where everyone was tuning him and catch us that was riding in the A group at the last hill before knysna, and the people that did the K2C know that climes are crap long and high. Jip, e-bike can weight about 20kg, same like our dh bike of 8-14 years ago, but remember, the guy on the ebike climes half of the time you spend climbing that hill and with 20kg going downhill were you going down 10-11kg mtb and can get insane speed with that weight and if you know how to handle a bike downhill, then you can make up a lot of time.
  6. Comment from out of the Karoo to Coast Event post: "Hyt verby ons gekom op ou wapad op. Hy het soeveel comments gekry dat ek dink hy die power opgedraai het net om weg te kom." https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/156917-event-karoo-to-coast/page-34
  7. Sad part is, when you mentally drained and giving it your all after 89km of hard riding and climbing hills, this person go's past you like with no hard work passing between other riders, and i was in A group.
  8. JIP!!! i even switch my Garmin over to map just to check when that damn Simola hill climb finish!!
  9. Did that guy on the retro road bike finish finish? Respect for him. Everyone was like "what the hell" in A group when he pop in buy us. Seems the retro thing is coming back.
  10. Thanks for the info on it. Actually good plan they have there. Mind playing that when you busy climbing that last hill and this mtb past you like that.
  11. Thanks RSG. looks we got the answer on it. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/156917-event-karoo-to-coast/page-34

  13. Makes sense BSG. Guess it must be the same guy then. But damn!! He went pass us like we were looking for parking up that hill. Next time i will ask him for a lift!!
  14. A quick question, are Electric Mountain bikes aloud on MTB race like the Karoo 2 Coast? If i'm not mistaking "and there some other riders that seen the same thing" that i guy on a E-bike with racing number pedaling pas us on Simola Hill with like no hard pedaling work.
