  1. I've been to "running shop" which I will never buy "runners" from. The salesman said "can I help you" I said no its ok just looking at your "runners". Salesman said to me I've got the perfect shoe for you and gives me a pronation shoe and I'm a neutral. These are all kids that work weekends to get extra cash but haven't got a clue about the sport.

  6. I't seems to be a race of who has the best doctors?
  7. Good news, I've sorted out both my pc. I uninstalled the drivers and inserted the ir usb stick. It then said "found new hardware/harddrive" it asks for a the driver and it works. On my laptop in uninstalled everything too and Vista has the drivers for the i/r already installed no need to install the software. Thank for all the help!
  8. Unfortunately I don?t have administrative rights on my pc at work? I'll speak with my it guys at work and try sort that problem out. As for my laptop with vista on it NO.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I'll have to try play around with it during the weekend to try sort it out. I look for the vista drivers and install those. Just out of curiosity what can I put on my indoor training bike so as to give me all my stats? Power meter I guess hey? giantman2007-07-11 22:47:33
  9. Last night I tried messing around with my lap top but nothing. I'm using the polar USB Interface for S-Series, so I even tried the usb port but still no luck. What confuses me is that I plug it in and take it out but at the bottom it doesn't show anything. I put my memory stick in and it immediatly picks it up. Saw this on Polar link which might help on my lap top. http://www.pursuit-performance.com.au/polar/html/local/faq/faq-vista-irwave.html please help giantman2007-07-10 23:40:08

  11. I got my watch on Friday but I noticed that with my Laptop (with Vista) it keeps crashing and with my work P.C. (which has XP) it doesn't want to download my training. As soon as I put the IR it say found new device, then I go to "download" and all it shows is transrfer and reading settings. Could anyone help with both of these problems. I've downloaded the drivers for vista on the polar web-site and will try that tonight, but for the rest please I need help.
  12. Garmin does look nice, but the Polar has other goodies such as Power (yes its not as accurate as the SRM) but it has it. What I wanted to say is that there is cadgets which the Garmin and Suunto doesn't have.
  13. How long does this pause take? The reason I ask is, that the transision is part of the race and I like to know the time I spend in it. Now by pressing pause between the run/bike/run there goes the transions. I dont have my polar yet, but tell me can you not start your race on the "bike" mode. Start your "stop watch" (if there is one) and as you come in from the 1st run do your split, then split it again when you get onto the bike, by then your watch should have picked up the wheel/speed sensor and started automatically recording the bike section, then split of the bike and split the 2nd run. When you down load it you should see all the splits and have the run and bike section recorded too. I have the Hac 4 plus from Ciclo sport and when you download your interval session (similar to doing splits) it flags it for you. The problem of this watch is that the stop watch can only start and stop the recording, it doesn't have lap fascilities. I hope I didn't confuss the whole lot of you
  14. I saw last night that the Miriam team has Garmin on there bikes. Anyone has one? But which one can you use for a Duathlon, and they seem soooo bulky.
  15. i'M IN THE MARKET FOR A NEW HEART RATE MONITOR AND WAS THINKING OF THE S725. I THOUGHT THAT AS SOON AS YOU START TO RIDE THE WATCH WOULD AUTOMATICALLY START TAKING THE DISTANCE ETC. AND WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD IT YOU WOULD SEE THE SPLITS AND THE BIKE SECTION. DO ANY OF YOU USE THE SUUNTO, I THOUGHT OF GETTING EITHER THE POLAR OR THE SUUNTO T6. WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE POLAR IS THAT YOU CAN ADD CADENCE, POWER METERS TO IT WHERE YOU CANT ON THE SUUNTO.
