  1. what time do you normally finish, and where / which direction? I could probably join some time between 5:30 and 6 if its not too late, and just trying to work out logistics of where to park and which way to ride.
  2. For a 1600 lumen? Not too shabby at all. what sort of battery / lifetime on that if you know?
  3. haha, slow moment. its a friday, i'm allowed 1 or 2 of those today
  4. 35 south african rands off so far. if you look at the new R50 notes through light, it superimposes madiba's face over a lion. "Liodeba"
  5. you can benefit, from the drop, but not contribute. welcome to online marketing.
  6. very informative, good info to know.
  7. 70km... don't think there'll be much bored. Hoping to finish!
  8. yeah, if i remember correctly, registrations are open from 5:30 to 7:30 at the venue (and possibly a R50 "late entry" fee... ? )
  9. Agreed: don't loose faith in trust, give benefit of the doubt, but don't be dumb about it. I think its great that Linden still has a strong basis of trust in their business, and it sucks that 1 or 2 people take advantage of it. what goes around, comes around.
  10. we're on 5 people, waiting get 8
  11. so worst-case is only a few hours to catch up on?
  12. very cool
  13. Doing a ride this evening, 3 of us so far from 5:30 - 7. The alternative: Witkoppen -> Leslie -> Lonehill and back.
  14. Mo: sorted.
  15. Hi, I'm looking to find a route near my place in north riding with a bit less tar, and looking at google maps, there seems to be a lot of open area up Riverbend road just north of Bloubosrand (Riverbend AH), heading through towards the back of Cedar Lakes. I was wondering if anyone knows or has tried this area? Is there a route through to Cedar Road, and more importantly, what's your take on the safety of that Bloubosrand area in the evenings? Been down that road in my car once or twice and doesn't come across as the most homely. http://goo.gl/maps/7jhD9
  16. How do you know if you're a pirate rider? You ride the Arrrrrggus
  17. haha, like the mustache comment. I'm assuming this "Aurgust" event you speak of was hosted 3 months ago? Quite windy that time of year.
  18. Its Movember, for goodness sake!
  19. that would explain it the first 8km were awesome, wish i could make it this year, but will def come back for a ride in december.
  20. I think so. I got separated from my mates who i was riding with and they seemed to enjoy it, and didn't find the route i went on. haha Check the yellow marker, I think i was somewhere either on that path, ended up doing about 20km or so.
  21. was there about 2 months ago, and went around the left, up the back of a big hill and along the top, heading sort of east (after riding through the forest). from the start to the forest section was awesome though. I think I took a wrong turn and got stuck on an advanced route (after about 5 or 6km).
  22. I got USD's from Boogaloos days . Haven't put them on in 10 years.
  23. Rediscovering my youth.
  24. I was considering doing it on in-lines from Braam. Usually ride from Dunkeld, but its become so slow on a bike
  25. My 2nd ride there about a month ago, came onto that little wooden bridge next to the pond (just after crossing the B.H. heading towards emmerentia) with a little too much oomph at an angle, and realised i was headed straight over the edge. clamped down front brakes. Endo'd. Landed on the pipe in the bottom of the stream (feet first). Bike did a full forward flip, and in a single move, managed to grab the bike by the crossbar, swing it back onto the bridge, jump up, hop on and carry on riding. since then, i take it easy over the bridge.
