  1. Contermanskloof -ride green route to top-hook a right at blue/green split, find hidden FR trail behind rock pile (first check out obstacles before you ride it!) -take blue route at split-go up steep hill, check the amazing view, bomb down the hill -carry on on blue, or take double black turnoff to the left
  2. Hi there DHK. I have a 240mm Manitou Swinger 6 way. Its 2nd hand, but perfect condition. Want R1000 for it. You will just need to get the right size reducers from Cycles Africa for your Giant. It came off a Morewood Izimu. BTW, even if you are looking at a DHX 5.0, a 240mm will still fit your Giant
  3. The newer White brothers DH fork is supposed to be good. But i dont know anybody riding them. The older White Brothers forks were smooth... until the seals blew. And that happened ALL the time. If you are looking at a WB XC fork, then i dont know. If its DH, then rather stay far away. Oh, and btw, bo agents in SA. FOX or the new DT-Swiss forks are pretty much the way to go if you want stiffness performance and durability. The DT does however require more attention to stay smooth and last. Good luck!
  4. Thys, you are probably referring to the Scott Aspect 45? (Sells for about 5k) Unfortunately im still waiting for a reply from Scott. I havent had time to meet up with Merida yet either. I should be in a premises by 1st September, then things will get easier from a supply side. Scoot is long sold out on the Aspect 45. Merida and Scott are low on 2010 stck, and are both awaiting 2011 arrivals VERY soon. The 2011 Scott launch will be end of this month. If you can, i would suggest you try hang on till the 2011 bikes arrive (some are allready here). If you guys are looking at recreational riding, the bikes you are looking at will be perfect. Regards, SABikeDeal
  5. Hi there Rick, If you are looking at the 15k mark, you are better off buying a hardtail. However, its a difficult time of the year to start looking at bikes, as most wholesalers are out of most of their stock. A very good allround bike to look at is the SCOTT Scale 40 (2010). This bike has awesome geometry, and a very good all round spec. You are allways welcome to PM me with any questions. Ivw been in the bike trade for 11 years and will advise you as well as possible. By the way, what size are you? Might have a very good 2nd hand deal i can organize for you.
  6. Diepseun, you need a E-Thirteen with ISCG guides. If the one you have dont fit, it probably is a ISCG-05.
  7. The Blackburn Flea is a very good option. I use them myself. Rear light last for 7-8 hours, and its VERY bright. You can charge them on USB or with any normal battery (both chargers included). Blackburn also carries a lifetime replacement guarantee.(i dont quite know what their description for lifetime is though)
